Kwamena is the Founding Director of Pave Investments, with extensive experience in venture capital, business strategy, and sports investments. He is also a Founding Partner at Microtraction and is widely regarded as one of the leading internet investors in Africa.
In addition to his work at Pave and Microtraction, he has been part of the founding teams of LIG Africa and Magic Fund. He has built a reputation as a partner of choice for leading companies and funds across the continent, serving as an advisor, board member, and General Partner.
Over the past decade, Kwamena has played a key role in the success of more than 50 seed-stage investments annually on a global basis, with a strong focus on companies operating in Africa. His notable early-stage investments include Paystack, Flutterwave, LemFi, HeliCarrier, and Cowrywise.
He brings over a decade of experience in strategy, investments, business development, and structuring, working with both startups and established companies across Africa, Europe, North America, Australia, and Israel. He currently serves on the boards of several companies across financial services, consumer products, technology, and property development.
Kwamena also led the fundraising efforts for the local consortium that invested in NBA Africa’s $1 billion entity. He is part of a sports investment group focused on talent identification, development, and the acquisition of global sports assets.
